Josh Hutcherson opened up on Wednesday about The Hunger Games: Catching Fire and how he feels about his new co-stars.

Hutcherson, who plays Peeta Mellark in the wildly popular Hunger Games franchise, gave a small preview on Ryan Seacrest's radio show Wednesday of what's to come for the series' second entry, Catching Fire.

"I think the story kind of opens up a lot," the 21-year-old actor said. "There's a lot more interesting plots that start to develop and everything kind of thickens and we sort of just up the overall feel of the movie. I mean, we kept the same idea of the first with the whole world, but we kind of bumped it up a little and made it a little more immersive, but it's really great."

The film is an adaptation of Suzanne Collins second book in the Hunger Games franchise. Hutcherson noted, "[And] we stayed true to the book as always."

He added that he was excited to have actors like Philip Seymour Hoffman on board for the sequel, saying, "It was pretty incredible to work with all these guys." Additional actors expected to star in the film include Jennifer Lawrence, Elizabeth Banks, Woody Harrelson, Donald Sutherland, Liam Hemsworth and Lenny Kravitz.

Enstars reported on June 12 that the new trailer for The Hunger Games: Catching Fire would be coming "very soon," according to reports. Since the film will be promoted at Comic Con in July, many have speculated that the new trailer will be released there. However, some of the franchise's biggest fans are still reeling from the first trailer.

A compilation video of teens reacting to the first Catching Fire trailer has been shared around the Internet. The video, released on June 15, already has over a million hits on YouTube.
