Are Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber Getting Engaged In 2018?

Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber may have reconciled, but could they soon be getting engaged as well?

Just months after the couple were first seen back together in Los Angeles, a report claims that despite ongoing rumors regarding a future wedding between Gomez and Bieber, Gomez simply isn't ready to say "I do" quite yet, especially considering her troubled past with the "Friends" singer.

“Selena has made it clear to Justin that she doesn’t want to rush things, she wants to wait until the initial crazy passionate stage of them getting back together again fades before making any kind of permanent decisions like getting married,” an insider revealed to Hollywood Life on Feb. 18. “Selena and Justin have always had super intense chemistry sexually – that’s never been a problem. It’s the day-to-day grind of being together that they’ve struggled with.”

Gomez and Bieber have had an up and down relationship for the past several years and because of that, Gomez's mom, Mandy Teefy, has made it clear that she is not happy about her daughter's reunion with Bieber. She even opened up to Gossip Cop about her frustrations with their reconciliation.

In addition to her mother's concerns, Gomez is reportedly being cautious when it comes to allowing herself to completely trust her boyfriend. As the Hollywood Life insider explained, Bieber seems to be doing much better in recent months as he continues to attend church and focus on his faith. However, history has been known to repeat itself and Gomez is well-aware of the possibility of things between her and Bieber going south.

“She wants to be completely sure that it’s a permanent change, and that he’s not just going through the motions in order to win her back," the source explained. "Things are amazing between them right now, and Justin is being the boyfriend that she’s always wanted him to be, but Selena still has some lingering trust issues stemming from their past that need to be resolved.”

In other Gomez news, the "Bad Liar" songstress recently attended a weeks-long treatment program on the East Coast in an effort to be proactive about her mental health. Since then, she has been spotted with Bieber on a couple of occasions, including a pre-Valentine's Day getaway in Laguna Beach which she enjoyed.
