Actor Jim Belushi is having a bad start to his week. His third wife, Jennifer Sloan, has decided to end their marriage.

Farewell To Happiness

Numerous media outlets Sloan has decided to conclude their long marriage by walking into a Los Angeles courthouse and attaining divorce papers. According to Entertainment Tonight, Sloan stated in her divorce papers between her and the According to Jim star that the divorce involves minor children. Both Belushi and Sloan have two kids, an 18-year-old daughter named Jamison and a 16-year-old son named Jared.

According to The Blast, Sloan has requested to the Los Angeles Superior Court that she wants to share legal custody of Jamison and Jared. She also added that Belushi should give her spousal support. This news also comes at a dour time for the former Saturday Night Live veteran as Belushi remembers the 36th anniversary of his brother, John Belushi. John was a founding cast member of the long-running NBC series. The couple was married on May 2, 1998. Belushi was previously married twice once to Marjorie Bransfield from 1990 to 1992 and Sandra Davenport from 1980 to 1988.

Before Jim Belushi was blindsided by the divorce from his wife, he starred in controversial film director Woody Allen's latest film Wonder Wheel. The film also starred Justin Timberlake and Kate Winslet. Both actors came under fire for working with Allen. He was also as a part of the massive Twin Peaks revival that included over 217 actors such as Amanda Seyfried, Kyle MacLachlan, Michael Cera, Matthew Lillard, and Laura Dern. In 2015, Belushi teamed up with Katherine Heigl and Patrick Wilson on director Anthony Burns' fourth film, Home Sweet Hell.

Jim Belushi and Jennifer Sloan are not the only Hollywood couple that has called it quits this year. On Thursday, Feb. 22, a representative for Tisha Campbell-Martin, announced that her husband, Duane, called it quits last month after being married for over 27 years.

On Feb. 20, Theroux canceled his scheduled appearance with Late Show with Stephen Colbert. What might have been the reason why he withdrew from Colbert could be that he was still reeling in his emotions from his break-up with actress Jennifer Aniston. Fans of actors Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux were startled when the couple announced through the press that they were separating on Feb. 15.

Actress Rebecca Gayheart filed for divorce from actor Eric Dane on Feb. 16. The Scream 2 and Grey Lady actress stated that she filed from Dane following "irreconcilable differences." Gayheart asked that in her divorce petition that they would share joint legal and physical custody of their two daughters, 7-year-old Billie and 6-year-old Georgia.
