Frank Ocean kicked off his You're Not Dead tour on Tuesday and during his first stop was in Munich, Germany, he surprised fans by performing three new songs.

The slow tempo tunes are a look into what fans might expect from his sophomore album, which has yet to have an official release date.

"I could hate you now, It's quite alright to hate you now, but we both know that deep down the feelings still deep down," he sings in one of the new love songs.

In an interview with MTV in April, Ocean explained the direction he's going with the new record.

"When I was making the first [album] there were a group of artists that I listened to, just for inspiration and to absorb the energies," he said. "It was a lot of Stevie Wonder, and this time it's a lot of Beach Boys and Beatles and whatnot, so we'll see how it trickles into the music and the final product. I can't say much other than that."

In a February interview with BBC Radio 1 host Zane Lowe, Ocean revealed that he's already completed about 11 songs for his next project. He commented on the upcomnig album by saying, "It's another cohesive thing, bordering on a concept record again." The new album will in a way be a follow-up to where his 2012 record ended.

"At the end of Channel Orange, there's Golden Girl, and it's this beach scene. And I kind of want it to extend that feel into the next record all together, kind of make it that theme," he said.

The singer and song-writer is also reportedly working with Pharrell Williams and Danger Mouse on the new record.

During Tuesday's show he also performed his 2012 debut album Channel Orange in its entirety and some songs from his first mix tape Nostalgia, Ultra, released in 2011. As part of his You're Not Deat tour he will also play in Amsterdam, London and Dublin. The tour will end on Aug. 4 in Toronto. See the full list of dates here.
