After the tremendous backlash Paula Deen received following the revelation of using the N-word, there might be one positive solution to get the former Food Network star on track.

Professional dancer Cheryl Burke believes that Paula Deen should join Dancing With the Stars.

"I think you'd probably see a different side of her, and I think she would be a great addition to the cast," Burke, 29, told ET Canada. "I think coming on something light and fun would be something good for her."

While the Season 17 cast has not yet been announced, there were rumors that this is the second time the Queen of Southern Cuisine was approached about joinging the cast.

Back in 2010, the 66-year-old chief told Extra that she was approached by ABC to do the Season 14, but has passed on the opportunity.

"They did ask me and I said no," she said. "Fat girls don't look good sweating. I've got catfish arms ... And I've got - is that a muffin top right there?"

Maybe this time around will be different. After being dropped by 11 companies and losing a multibook deal among other occurrences, it seems that she must do something soon to fix her image, rather than hiding from the limelight.

"If she goes into seclusion, she'll really quickly be forgotten...And the longer she does that, the harder it is to come back," Jim Joseph, the North American president of Cohn & Wolfe, told CNBC.

Dancing With the Stars will return for its seventeenth season on September 16.
