Kate Middleton and Prince William revealed the name of their baby boy Wednesday and royal fans have already taken to Twitter to express their opinions about Prince George Alexander Louis.

Prince George was born Monday afternoon and have been unnamed for two days.

After The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge gave the world a first glimpse of the newborn at St. Mary's hospital Tuesday, the new parents finally decided on a name.

Kensington Palace said in a short statement: 'The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are delighted to announce that they have named their son George Alexander Louis.

Moments after the announcement, Twitter users started tweeting about the name.

Enstars reported earlier that George and Alexander were among top favorites for the royal baby, while other names likes James and Charles made the list.

The Daily Mail noted that the first name of the last King George - George VI - was actually Albert and he was known to his family as 'Bertie' but he selected George - his fourth name - to use as Sovereign.

George is also the fourth name of the Prince of Wales - the baby's grandfather.

Louis is said to have deep significance in the Windsor family in honour of the Prince of Wales's favourite uncle Lord Louis Mountbatten, who was killed in 1979.

On Tuesday afternoon, Prince William gushed about his son.

"He's got a good pair of lungs. That's for sure," Prince William told the crowd. "He's a big boy. He's quite heavy."

The proud dad also joked about the baby's timing of arrival.

"I will remind him of his tardiness when he's a little older because I know how long you've all been standing out here. I hope you guys can get back to normal now and we can look after him," he said.
