Peter Weller will be stepping out from behind the television camera to don a role in season 6 of FX's hit biker series Sons of Anarchy.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the 66-year-old actor whose mostly known for playing RoboCop, will play an ex cop that runs into trouble with the Sons.

Weller is no stranger to the SAMCRO set, as he's directed five episodes in seasons 4 and 5 of the highly popular TV series as well as the second episode of the upcoming one.

The sixth season of SOA will feature SAMCRO dealing with the incarceration of Jax's (Charlie Hunnam) father-in-law Clay (Ron Perlman) and wife Tara (Maggie Siff) with the club in disarray.

Speaking of the upheavel in Charming, Siff spoke to NBC News about the clear and apparent differences between her character Tara and Gemma (Katey Sagal).

"You'll see a very adversarial relationship between Tara and Gema this season, mostly because my main focus is really about getting my kids out of Charming - and Gemma's main focus in the world is making sure her son and her grandchildren never leave this club. ... They're working in direct opposition to each other this season, so it's not going to be a pretty relationship," she said.
