Mark Wahlberg has been sharing photos of his family on social media. In a recent interview, he recently gave fans an insight into his personal life, specifically his bond with his daughter Ella's boyfriend.

In his recent appearance on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show," the 50-year-old actor made a surprising revelation about his 18-year-old daughter.

Mark opened up how he's more concerned about Ella's boyfriend, James, than for her daughter because she is "tough."

"I think he's more scared of my daughter than he is of me, I pray more for him than I pray for her in that relationship," he said. (via People Magazine)

He gushed about their relationship, saying they're a perfect match and the boyfriend "couldn't be any sweeter."

Speaking about his children getting older and starting to meet people romantically, Mark said he realized early on that "it's inevitable."

It seems like the actor has specific standards on who his daughter dates as he wanted a nice person and "treats her well." He also noted that the person should be trustworthy and he can respect."

Mark also gave a glimpse about his bond with James, saying they have a "great relationship" and he thinks he's "fantastic."

"I hope she can keep him!" the "Transformers: Age of Extinction" star added.

Aside from his eldest kid, the actor is also a father to two more children named Michael and Brendan. He shares his kids with Rhea Durham, whom he married in 2009.

Elsewhere in the interview, he recalled how James stayed with their family during the holidays, saying they "did lots of stuff together," and he thinks his daughter's boyfriend is a good influence on her.

However, during the beginning of their holiday trip, Mark, unfortunately, tested positive for COVID-19, so he was forced to stay in the basement as his family went on vacation days before Christmas.

After isolating and receiving two negative tests, the actor then followed his family on the trip, but their reaction was surprising, saying, "I still had a little bit of a cough and stuff like that. They didn't want me there."

This is not the first time Mark Wahlberg gushed about Ella and James, as he previously shared a photo on Instagram to greet them for their first anniversary.

"Happy 1 year anniversary Ella and James I'm so happy for you guys! I couldn't be more proud of you Ella!! I love you guys," he wrote. (check out the photo above)
