Taron Egerton collapsed on stage during a production of Cock.

Taron Egerton from Rocketman and Johnathan Bailey from Bidgerton just had their first night of Mike Bartlett's 2009 play Cock at the Ambassadors Theatre on the West End. This production, directed by the incredible Marianne Elliot, director of the hit production of Company which can now be seen on Broadway, opened to an excited crowd of theatre goers. However, as is often the case with live performance, unexpected circumstances led to a change of course half-way through the production.

Egerton collapsed halfway through the show according to an article on Deadline. The curtain came down, and a doctor in the audience came forward to tend to him. The director later came out on stage to declare that the actor was absolutely fine; yet, he would not be continuing to through to the end of the show. Instead, his understudy Joel Harper-Jackson made is way to the stage to finish the run of the show.

Since this event, Egerton has taken to social media to assure fans that he is doing well. He took to his Instagram story writing, "As some of you may have heard, I passed out during the first performance of COCK last night...I am completely fine. Slightly sore neck and a bruised ego but I'm fine."

We are so glad to hear that he is doing well, and we are certain he will be back on stage finishing the run in no time.
