ONE COOL KAT! Barbie Ferreira is the Confidence Queen - BUT Let Her Explain What That Means!

Barbie Ferreria's mega-fame timeline is a little strange, as it is for a lion's share of the Euphoria cast.

Euphoria is one of the biggest shows of the year. It earned an early series renewal while in the middle of its second season, and everyone on that show has become a well-known icon.

Typically, when a show is this successful, people rise to unforseen levels of fame and remain there for a little while. However, the timeline for the Euphoria cast was a little different than most, due to the pandemic.

Barbie Ferreria, who plays Kat on the show, discussed this incredibly strange phenomenon in an interview with ES. It is natural to suspect, after the success of the show's first seaon, that her celebrity and employment would continue in a straight line, but Covid had other plans.

"It was interesting to have the situation where you think you would be so busy, especially for the next year if nothing else, but then it was the exact opposite, where I've never had so much time off."

Now, after the break, she and her castmates find themselves back in the whirlwind, even more famous than they were before. These rapidly flucuating levels of fame can be incredibly jarring. However, Ferreria has been able to keep her head on her shoulders thanks to the supportive community created by her cast.

"I'm thankful I'm older...I sympathise with those who are really young going into this. It's really hard to navigate and keep your identity as yourself, and that's really important to me....It's almost like we're at this crazy theatre camp all the time. It's nice that I can always have people to talk to because... it's a lot, you know?...It's made everything so fun, but very high stress."

While Ferreira's superstardom came in her 20s, she started modeling back when she was sixteen years old. Her style game has been eternally on point. She recently posted pictures to her Instagram account of a recent vacation she took and they are stunning.

She is a confident star, inside and out. However, Ferreria would like to make clear that the internet paints her confidence in a light she doesn't always agree with.

"What confidence is, versus what people on the internet project on me, are two very different things...Most of the time I get my confidence from performing. But I think when people think of confidence and they think of Barbie Ferreira, they think about my body, and I hate talking about my body because no matter what I say, it will be the headline. A lot of people talk about the pressure to stay thin, and that's not the focus. But if I talk about how my body image affects me, everyone writes 35 articles about that one quote from an interview about the moisturizer I'm putting on my callused feet."

Ferreira is an independent woman who speaks her mind. We cannot wait to see what the world has in store for her next.
