Jon Batiste took home the Grammy Award for his phenomenal album We Are, and Billie Eilish was (pun intended) happier than ever!

Jon Batiste is a multi-talented, multi-genred performer. His R&B-Neo-Soul-Amiercana album scored the major victory at last night's Grammy Awards celebration. His joyful music led him to the award for Album of the Year.

In his speech, the performer was thankful, but humble, saying, "really, I believe this to my core, there is no best musician, best artist, best dancer, best actor. The creative arts are subjective, and they reach people at a point in their lives when they need it most." He went on to call his producer up on stage saying, "Come here, man! I don't want to be up here by myself, I didn't do it by myself!"

It was a well-deserved victory and an incredibly moving speech. Equally moving was the pure joy and celebration that fellow nominee, Billie Eilish, showed to Batiste after he won the award. Eilish was nominated in the same category for her album Happier Than Ever.

We have seen time and time again, fellow nominees politely clap through masked disappointment when they do not take home the gold. In reality, who can blame them? Eilish, however, quickly gives Batiste a big hug, jumps up and down, and encourages him to go on stage, filled with real, genuine, not-faked joy.

It's incredibly moving to see one performer absolutely happy at the success of another. Also, it makes us all respect Billie Eilish even more than we already did (which, honestly, its already so high, we did not think that was possible.)

Congratulations Jon Batiste on your win!
