Simon Cowell will reduce his workload and take on less professional responsibilities in the coming years.

The 62-year-old actor has pledged to "slow down" as he approaches "semi-retirement," but he will continue to appear on his television series in the meanwhile.

However, he will be spending the most of his time with his fiancée Lauren Silverman and their kid Eric.

In a report by The Mirror, a source said that the music tycoon would adopt a less hands-on approach and will no longer work until 3 o'clock in the morning.

According to the source, his back injury from a bike accident in 2020, along with the pandemic, caused him to reevaluate his life goals and aspirations.

"At 62, Simon is well aware that he will not be growing any younger."

"The days of staying up until 3 a.m. working and continuously being on the phone trying to make deals are long gone," they said.

When it comes to someone like the "X Factor" judge, the insider added that it will be difficult for him to let go and stop working, but that this will be his way of transitioning into a "semi-retirement" period.

"He won't be working every day, and he'll be picking and choosing his employment a great deal more in the future."

Simon Cowell's decision to slow down comes after he was involved in an e-accident that resulted in his inadvertently breaking his arm in February.

While out on a walk with Lauren, the producer earlier admitted to being a "kind of a nutter." He barely escaped major harm during the mishap, in part due to his lack of wearing a helmet or any form of protective gear at the time, according to The Daily Mail.

Friends close to the celebrity, who has said that he has improved after the accident, have stated that he is prepared to give up riding despite being a passionate rider since this is his second bike mishap.

As Simon and Lauren were getting ready to go on a stroll, the famed judge informed a news source, "I'm well, thank you. Thank you so lot for your help; I'm feeling much better. It took place just around the corner from where I was."

After being informed that he was seen zooming about multiple times before the incident, he stated that he would definitely wear a helmet the next time he rides his motorcycle.

Simon Cowell had a serious back injury after he fell from his e-bike for the first time in Malibu in August 2020, necessitating surgery.
