Jennifer Aniston got candid about the health issues she faced for decades, revealing how they affected her day-to-day life.

For decades, Aniston reportedly faced sleep issues that affected her body clock. Unfortunately, it got worse that she ended up "counting cracks in the wall" instead of sleeping.

The 53-year-old actress shared more details about it in a new interview with PEOPLE, saying that the event started when she was in her 30s or earlier. According to Aniston, she never noticed the effects of lack of sleep when she was younger.

"It began as something that I would just accept and then all of a sudden you realize the effects of your lack of sleep and how it affects your day and your work and your mind function and your physique," she said.

Brad Pitt's ex-wife would reportedly watch the clock to make herself fall asleep. However, it just made her more sleepless since she focused her mind more on how much time was passing.

Unfortunately, it was harder for her to sleep when she worried about it even more.

Jennifer Aniston Dealt With Another Sleep Issue

Aside from insomnia and sleep anxiety, the "Friends" actress also faced episodes of sleepwalking.

She detailed how she sleepwalked whenever she was sleep-deprived. Fortunately, it does not occur anymore. After years of facing health woes, the actress decided to help herself get over her sleep struggles.

"It used to be the last thing on the list, but you can't really abide by the three pillars of health - which are diet, exercise and sleep - if you can't really exercise and you can't really eat right if you haven't slept well because your body clock is so completely thrown off," she said, as quoted by E! News.

She recommended everyone consult a doctor to resolve their sleep problems. Meanwhile, the actress also joined the new campaign, Seize the Night and Day. It is where people can read advice regarding their own sleep issues.

Aside from medical assistance, Aniston started following rituals to have a peaceful night. She reportedly does some stretches and yoga every night and leaves her phone out of the room.

Aniston purportedly tries to wind down and make her bedtime the same as much as possible.

On top of these, she gets a better rest because of her three dogs.
