Princess Diana would reportedly react to "Queen Camilla" positively if she was still alive, a royal expert claimed.

For years after Princess Diana's death, royal fans have continuously asked whether she could have been the next queen. However, Prince Charles' infidelity caused her to lose all the chances she had.

They were shocked even more when Queen Elizabeth II announced during her Platinum Jubilee that she wants the Duchess of Cornwall to have the title. In response to this, a royal author claimed that Princess Diana would still approve of it despite her tense relationship with Camilla.

Royal author Stewart Pearce, Princess Diana's close friend, recently recalled how the late royal and Camilla's bitter rivalry would have eased in the past years. He also noted that the late Princess of Wales was, instead, in touch with a position of her own power.

"At the very core of Diana's being, she was one of the most generous, one of the most kind, one of the most gracious people I've ever met. Measuring the way that Camilla has been over the last 25 years, and particularly over the last 17 years in a relationship with Charles... I feel that she has been extraordinary in the role that she's performed," Pearce said.

He added that Camilla also deserved to be one due to her untiring and unmatched service to the Queen, Prince Charles, and Prince Philip.

But despite Princess Diana's potential approval, Pearce believed that the royal princess and Camilla would never be the greatest of friends since they are very different women.

Princess Diana NEVER Wanted To Be Queen

Even if Princess Diana got all the chances to score the title, the Princess of Wales made it clear that she did not have any interest in becoming queen.

During her BBC interview in 1995 (as reported by Pop Sugar) that she never saw herself as a queen of the country. Instead, she would like to be a queen of people's hearts.

"They've decided that I'm a nonstarter, because I do things different, because I don't go by a rule book, because I lead from the heart and not the head," she said in the interview. "And albeit that's gotten me into trouble in my work, but someone's gotta go out there and love people."

Princess Diana could have been a queen consort. Although it never happened, she remains the People's Princess after all these years.
