Riverdale actress Lili Reinhart is not pulling her punches when it comes to the maddening and toxic weight loss schemes bragged about by celebrities prior to the Met Gala.

Lili Reinhart, actress and icon, took to her social media to call out the absurdity of stars that bragging about unhealthy weight loss schemes they took on prior to the pandemic.

The Riverdale actress has been very open with the public about her own struggles with body image. Through this openness, the star is constantly using her platform for good, serving as a beacon of light for those who may be feeling the same - and that beacon is shining brightly in this post-2022 Met Gala world.

Reinhart took to her Instagram story and pointedly shared in multiple frames:

Twitter Error

"To walk on a red carpet and do an interview where you say how starving you are...because you haven't eaten carbs in the last month...all to fit in a f****** dress?...So wrong. So f***** on 100s of levels. To openly admit to starving yourself for the sake of the Met Gala. When you know very well that millions of young men and women are looking up to you and listening to your every word.

"The ignorance is other-worldly and disgusting...Please stop supporting these stupid, harmful celebrities whose entire image revolves around their bodies...I am not generally an angry person but I swear to god, the toxicity of this industry sometimes really gets to me and I have to do my little Instagram-story rants to release my rage."

We will give you a second to settle back in after giving that post the STANDING OVATION IT DESERVES.

All good?

While the commentary could certainly be in relation to a great number of stars that took on unhealthy habits just to master a certain look on the carpet, many believe that Reinhart's story was in direct reference to Kim Kardashian. The reality star said in an interview with Vogue that she lost 16 pounds in order to wear Marilyn Monroe's dress at the event:

"I tried it on and it didn't fit me. I said, 'Give me three weeks,'...I was determined to fit [into] it. I haven't had carbs or sugar in about three weeks."

Lili Reinhart: Thank you for your outrage.
