Everyone has known that, when it comes to fashion, Kanye West has a lot of opinions. The world was widely aware that he had a lot of say in everything Kim Kardashian wore. It was always, however, perceived to be done out of love. There were tensions behind it all that came to the surface in this newest episode.

Kim Kardashian reflected that, towards the end of their marriage when she was no longer going to her now ex for fashion advice, West did not react well. She wore clothes of her own selection at the WSJ Magazine Innovator Awards, and the performer berated her for it, calling her after the event, "He told me my career's over and then he showed me a picture of Marge Simpson wearing something similar." That is SO not okay.

Yet, these criticisms, while upsetting, are not new. Back in 2019, West said that Kardashian's 2019 Met gala dress, "was affecting my soul and my spirit." He lamented, "You are my wife and it affects me when pictures are too sexy." We are so glad that Kim ignored this hateful commentary and still ROCKED this beautiful dress at the 2019 Met Gala. The hard working soon-to-be lawyer is not letting anyone tell her what she can and cannot wear.
