According to TV Shows Ace, the 16-year-old star has been in a serious relationship with Dralin Carswell since last year, and they regularly share their love on social media.
The couple faced controversy after announcing their connection as many online users claim that her boyfriend is four years older than her and she's still considered a minor.
After being spotted with a ring, many fans were baffled as they believed the TV star was engaged and set to marry Carswell.
However, her older sister Pumpkin spoke to The U.S. Sun, confirming that it was just a promise ring she had received last year.
Speculations began swirling around the internet earlier this year after Thompson was seen wearing a diamond ring during a photoshoot with her sister and brother-in-law Josh Efrid.
The two recently had twins named Ella and Bentley.
The recent news comes after the latest episode of "Mama June: Road to Redemption," where Thompson was surprised by her sister by inviting her boyfriend to her 16th birthday.
The pair later went outside to enjoy a private moment.
However, Efrid intimidates Honey Boo Boo's boyfriend by interrupting their quality time.
"She does live in our house, so the only thing I ask for is respect, honesty and to treat her really really good because she hadn't had the best mother in the world to treat her like she's supposed to been treated," he told Carswell.
Pumpkin's husband then told him that if he didn't abide by what he said, he would break his neck.
Carswell was unable to speak, so he just nodded his head to agree.
According to a previous source, Honey Boo Boo and her boyfriend's relationship is approved by the former's sisters.
The insider noted that the couple is attached to each other and always hangs out.
"He was quiet at first, but he's like one of the family now. He's just as fun and crazy as the rest of them," the source added.
