Kesha had a spiritual awakening, and it led her to create a show where she goes into buildings she presumes to be haunted and speak to ghosts.

We would be surprised if you did not want some clarification.

Kesha is one of the most iconic performers of the 21st century. From her chart-topping songs to her fiercely fought court case to her unwavering strength in herself and her empowerment, we are not mincing words when we say Kesha is INSPRING.

Now, the singer has a show coming out on July 8th. On first guess, one would assume that the show would have something to do with the star's musical career.

You would be mistaken.

Instead, the show is called Conjuring Kesha and it follows Kesha as she goes into different buildings and speaks to ghosts.

On Late Night with Seth Meyers last night, she shared how this new project came about. Kesha recalled to Seth Meyers:

"So, I've always loved the paranormal. I've had weird experiences. My whole life has been very weird. And then during Covid I was, like, having existential crisis after existential crisis and just lots of anxiety, and one night I'm sitting in bed, and I was like, 'Uh-oh. Here we go.' And I was like, 'My- My brain's breaking. I feel it breaking. It's going'

"And then, like, I heard a voice, I saw a vision. My cats brought me headphones. It's a whole thing. And, like, I understood what love was. I saw the whole universe. I pulled back. It was a microcosm of itself. I got the- got the picture, right?

"So the next morning, I called my therapist and I was like, 'Girl, it happened,'...And she was like, 'Guess what. Congratulations.' And I was like, 'What are you talking about?' She's like, 'This is a spiritual awakening.' And I was like, 'Wait, what?' And she was like this, 'Yay!' And I was like, 'This is the point? Like, this is what I've been working towards? What? This is terrifying.'

"And she was like, 'Yeah, welcome.' And I was like, 'Okay.'"

Kesha, of course, took this spiritual awakening the way that any person OBVIOUSLY would. The star continued on with her animated story sharing that:

And so I decided to really, like, lean into it. I started writing music about. And I called my brother, my next phone call, and I was like, 'Okay, my brain broke. We're leaning into it. We're making a TV show about this, and we're going to go find some ghosts. Let's look for some aliens and **** it. Let's get Bigfoot.'"

We can't wait to watch Conjuring Kesha on July 8th on Discovery+
