Adding fuel to the fire that is the messy divorce of Brangelina, veteran actor Brad Pitt gets sued by a former company of ex-wife Angelina Jolie for taking their shared winery into his own hands.

Following the messy divorce of former power couple Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, the battle continues amidst issues on the Château Miraval, a 1,300-acre estate winery where the ex-couple had bought controlling stakes from in 2008. Additionally, the actor had allegedly forced Jolie to sign a "hush-clause" that would silence her from discussing the details of their divorce.

According to the recently filed lawsuit by the "Maleficent" star's former company, Nouvel, Pitt allegedly tried to seize control of Château Miraval as a means to ensure that his ex-wife would not be able to profit from the winery. The suit alleges that the act was done "in retaliation" for their recent divorce and custody proceedings. Page Six reports the contents of the suit which they had recently obtained.

"In retaliation for the divorce and custody proceedings, Pitt embarked on a multi-faceted, years-long campaign to seize control of Chateau Miraval and appropriate the company's assets for his benefit and that of his own companies and friends." The suit reads. "Appointing himself the rightful owner of Chateau Miraval, his twin objectives were to usurp the value of Jolie's company, Nouvel, and to obtain sole ownership of Chateau Miraval."

Additionally, the suit revealed that Pitt had tried to "block Jolie and Nouvel from obtaining information about or managing Chateau Miraval". Nouvel is the company that filed the lawsuit against Pitt, and was founded by Jolie founded to retain her stake in Château Miraval, which the actress recently sold to liquor giant Stoli.

What Did Jolie Do with her stake?

The Stoli Group was able to acquired 50% of the stake from Jolie in October 2021 for an undisclosed fee.

According to the suit from Nouvel, Pitt had ignored an offer from Jolie to sell her interest on the winery, thus leading her to sell the stake to the Stoli group.

Page Six reports that, "Stoli was ready to put its experience and distribution network to work for Chateau Miraval". However, according to the lawsuit, Pitt had "refused to work with [Stoli] as an equal partner."

The filed suit is suing Pitt for a whopping $250 million, and was filed in Los Angeles on Tuesday. The ex-couple also co-parent their six kids together-Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, and twins Knox and Vivienne.
