Reality star James Taylor has been reportedly arrested with two charges following recent controversy among "The Bachelorette" fans.

On September 10, the "The Bachelorette" alum was charged for allegedly driving while intoxicated and unlawful possession of a weapon. The country singer was reportedly stopped by police officers in Katy, Texas.

According to ET's statement, "The reality TV alum and country singer was stopped by officers in Katy, Texas, on Saturday, September 10. Taylor was booked at the College Point Police Station and posted a total bond of $6,000 -- $2,000 for his DWI and a $4,000 bond for his possession of a firearm, according to booking records."

A separate report from KWTX stated that police noted Taylor was accompanied by an 18 year old female college freshman in the passenger seat of his vehicle.

"Police went on to write in the report that she was impaired and 'was not in any kind of condition to appraise the benefits and risks of the situation she was in'" According to KWTX's statement.

As of now, no representatives from Taylor's side have given any comment on the recent arrest.

Taylor Exiled From 'The Bachelorette' Family

In January 2021, the "Bachelorette" alum sparked outrage among fans on Twitter when Taylor posted a tweet about his support for Donald Trump during the US elections. In his tweet, the 35 year old singer thanked the producers of ABC for allegedly "supporting" him, although it is unknown in what way the network did so.

However, following Taylor's controversial tweet, "The Bachelorette" executive producer Mike Fleiss calls out the reality show alum and expressed his disapproval of James' conduct.

Now, following the country singer's arrest, fans took to Twitter to express their thoughts on the issue and express that, considering recent issues with Taylor, the recent incident did not surprise them.

James McCoy Taylor was one of the contestants on the 12th season of "The Bachelorette" competing to woo 25-year-old Joelle "JoJo" Fletcher, a real-estate developer. Off-screen, James Taylor is a country singer-songwriter. The 12th season of the ABC network show aired in 2016 from May 23 until August 1.
