An alleged clip from "The Simpsons" reportedly predicted Queen Elizabeth II's death.

The world bid goodbye to Queen Elizabeth II on Monday when Buckingham Palace and the royal family members held her State Funeral following her death at the age of 96.

Following the heartbreaking events, a clip on TikTok claimed that "The Simpsons" predicted Her Majesty's death. It now has over 17 million views.

The video was originally posted by @Moviesandmemes46790 on September 9, showing a scene from Episode 4 of Season 15 titled "The Regina Monologues." The episode sees Homer crashing into the queen's carriage while the family spends vacation in London.

The clip then zooms in on a piece of paper with the number "8.9.2022" - the date the Queen died.

"The Simpsons" predicted several events already, including the horsemeat scandal, ebola outbreak, Disney's acquisition of 20th Century Fox, and Donald Trump becoming the US President, among others.

Another video of the death prediction in "The Simpsons" featured Queen Elizabeth II's Simpson-version lying in a casket. A plaque is shown, which reads "Elizabeth II: 1926-2022."

Did "The Simpsons" Truly Predict Queen Elizabeth II's Death?

After the videos made buzzes, Newsweek revealed that those episodes were actually hoaxes.

The news outlet said that one of the videos had a digitally altered image that depicted former POTUS Trump lying in a coffin.

Politifact added that, while Queen Elizabeth II appeared in six episodes of "The Simpsons," none of those ever mentioned about her death. TikTok users also attempted to dismiss the claims by showing all unedited footage from the show.

It was not the first time the internet misled everyone by editing "The Simpsons" episodes, though.

Insider quoted the report by Snopes, saying there had been false claims that the series predicted the 2019 fire at the Notre Dame Cathedral and the explosion in Beirut.

"The Simpsons" team has not released a statement regarding the false prediction.

The Queen died at the age of 96, hours after her doctors revealed she was not in a good state. Queen Elizabeth II was finally laid to rest at King George VI's memorial chapel alongside Prince Philip's remains, which were previously held at the Royal Vault.

The chapel also holds the remains of Queen Elizabeth II's family - King George VI, Queen Mother, and Princess Margaret.
