Cara Delevingne's frail and worrying look reportedly has a tragic history. In the past months, she has been sparking concerns as her friends and fans claimed her mental health worsened after seeing her status in public.

The buzz became more prominent when she attended the Burning Man premiere during which she sported a disheveled look.

In a report by Page Six, sources claimed that the model's alleged addiction boiled down to what happened to her mother.

"A doctor friend told me they're planning to stage an intervention. Everyone knows her mother abused substances for years. Her mother is lucky to be alive. Cara spent her whole life being around drugs.

For what it's worth, her mother, Pandora Delevingne, was previously diagnosed with bipolar disorder. According to the Harvard Medical School's Harvard Health Publishing, the condition is also known as manic depressive illness or manic depression. It can cause wide mood swings in patients, which lead them to be very active or inactive during the episodes.

The matriarch used drugs throughout Delevingne's childhood and was even tagged as a former heroin addict.

With that, the public compared her recent behavior to what her mother showed before.

After going through those episodes, the 30-year-old English model transformed recently for the New York Fashion Week on Sep. 13.

Cara Delevingne's Downward Spiral

Although Delevingne's attendance at the Burning Man Festival became the source of buzz, her bizarre behavior started long before that event.

In the March cover story for Harper's Bazaar UK, she opened up about the stressful childhood she went through because of her mother, who suffered heroin addiction before giving birth to her and her sisters.

She noted that her mental health started deteriorating when she was a teen. It got worse when she faced severe depression and anxiety while trying to learn the truth about her sexuality.

In 2020, she came out as pansexual.

According to Delevingne, she probably hated herself a little less if there were already more LGBTQ+ public figures when she began struggling.

Despite that, she looked at the brighter side and realized that growing up as a queer helped her drive to make others' lives way easier.
