Elon Musk is a renowned businessman and tech mogul and has been dubbed by Bloomberg as the richest man in the world. As of August 2022, Musk has an estimated net worth of $254 billion. He owns and invests in several companies, including Tesla, SpaceX, Neuralink, and more.

Now, the SpaceX CEO revealed his latest venture, which is a coincidental play on his last name, a perfume brand.

"With a name like mine, getting into the fragrance business was inevitable - why did I even fight it for so long!?" Musk wrote in a tweet.

'Burnt Hair' Perfume is Real

In a recent tweet, Elon Musk announced the first scent in his new fragrance business, which is called "Burnt Hair". The scent has been described as "the essence of repugnant desire". The "Burnt Hair" fragrance is sold in a red glass bottle with the big cursive words "burnt hair" and a small "singed" written at the bottom.

"Just like leaning over a candle at the dinner table, but without all the hard work" The product's listing site reads. "Stand out in a crowd! Get noticed as you walk through the airport"

The "Burnt Hair" perfume is available to order for $100 on a separate product page on Musk's "The Boring Company" official site. In a surprising update, Elon Musk tweeted that his newest fragrance has already sold 10,000 bottles, which already amounts to a whopping million dollars on its first day.

Additionally, the 51-year-old tech mogul recently changed his Twitter biography to "Perfume Salesman" following the debut of his latest business.

Despite the success his latest venture has already achieved, Musk's fragrance business has drawn mixed reactions among netizens. Critics took to Twitter to express their opinion on the bizarre "Burnt Hair" fragrance, implying that Musk may be selling the product as a joke to foolish buyers.
