Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson teases a possible future with Marvel as a potential advisor for DC.

Dwayne Johnson is an actor, producer, and businessman who has starred in major action films like the "Fast & Furious" film franchise, "Bay Watch", "San Andreas", and more. He has also been dubbed "The Great One" as one of the best former professional wrestlers of all time.

The 50-year-old actor is also set to star in the film "Black Adam", which is a spinoff of the DC film "Shazam!". The wrestling star will portray Shazam's arch-rival who's antihero, and hailed from Kahndaq.

Dwayne Johnson's Role in DC

The "San Andreas" actor spoke to Variety in an interview during the Times Square premiere of DC's "Black Adam". When asked about his role and the future of DC amidst Warner Bros. Discovery CEO David Zaslav's new corporate strategy, Dwayne Johnson suggested that he could be a potential advisor for the film franchise.

"The best position that I could be for DC is one as an advisor, where I can help. I love DC. It's in my blood," Johnson explained to Variety. "In the spirit of growing up with the DC Universe. I'm here to help in any way I can, including looking for and finding that right leader or leaders."

Additionally, Johnson elaborated on his passion for DC Comics since he was a child, as he had grown up idolizing Black Adam.

Marvel and DC Potential Crossover?

While discussing his vision for the DC films franchise, Johnson went on to discuss the possibility of expanding its cinematic universe beyond the film franchise and teased a potential DC-Marvel crossover event if the fans demand it.

"Well, I'm always optimistic. I'd like to think that we would see that. My philosophy is anything can get done. Let's start with the end goal. And if the end goal is to have some sort of crossover that can be compelling, smart, cool for the fans," Johnson explained. "Let's get a temperature gauge if they'd like to see something like that. And then if they do, then let's create it.

"Black Adam" is set to premiere in the United States on October 21, 2022. Dwayne Johnson will star alongside Aldis Hodge, Noah Centineo, Sarah Shahi, and more.
