Bruce Willis' choice to retire due to his health issues has been allowing him to experience something he had never felt before.

Willis proved he is one of the kings of big screens as he filmed countless movies in his career. In fact, he had 15 movies two and a half years before his retirement.

In the past months since he left the spotlight, his family has been sharing updates about the actor's life, showing him "happier and in a better place" despite his aphasia diagnosis.

Most recently, his wife, Emma Heming Willis, shared a video montage on Instagram over the weekend to show their family moments this summer.

"We don't believe in perfection over here, but #oursummer2022 was pretty close to it. In fact it was magic," the 44-year-old matriarch said.

The couple spent time with their kids, Mabel Ray and Evelyn Penn. The clip shows the 67-year-old "Die Hard" actor laughing as he gave them piggyback rides. A part of the video also features Willis having family time on the couch while watching "Stranger Things."

It followed Emma's update in August during National Grief Awareness Day when she shared more memories with Willis since the revelation about the actor's diagnosis emerged.

The duo has been married since 2009 after the actor split from Demi Moore.

Willis was diagnosed with aphasia before his retirement. According to Johns Hopkins Medicine, it is a language disorder due to damage in a patient's brain that controls comprehension. People with aphasia are unable to communicate properly with others like how they used to. The disease can also lead to stroke.

Did Bruce Willis Sell Rights to His Face?

On October 12, "Paradise City" released its trailer featuring Willis and John Travolta. It marked the duo's first film since their 1994 Quentin Tarantino movie, "Pulp Fiction." While it hyped fans who want to see Willis in a movie again, the actor was bombarded with reports that he sold his face so they could use it in other flicks.
