Following James Corden's alleged nasty behavior at the famed Balthazar, two restaurant owners take his defense.

James Corden is a comedian who rose to prominence as the host of the CBS talk show, "The Late Late Show with James Corden". Recently, however, the comedian has been the subject of controversial headlines after famed restauranteur Keith McNally declared a ban on him for being the "most abusive customer" ever in his years in the restaurant scene. McNally detailed the incidents wherein James Corden had been rude to his waitstaff in an Instagram post.

NYC Restaurant Owners Take James Corden's Defense

According to a report from TMZ, two restaurant owners attest to Corden's good behavior as he has been a model customer to their establishments.

Restauranteur Stratis Morfogen, who has opened over 40 restaurants in New York, stated that the comedian is one of the "most pleasant and funny guys he's ever served". Stratis Morfogen owns famous establishments in New York including Club Rouge, Gotham City Diner, Seagrill of the Aegean, and Hilltop Diner.

"When Stratis hosted and catered a 2018 post-Grammys event for Bruno Mars and Atlantic Records at his Brooklyn Chop House restaurant, he says James was there singing songs with bartenders and yukking it up with staffers at the bar. He also notes James was a gracious tipper," TMZ says.

Additionally, Stratis expressed that he could not even imagine James displaying the "nasty behavior" in McNally's reports.

Among other establishment owners who jumped to James Corden's defense is celebrity chef Todd English. The famed chef told TMZ that every time he has had the opportunity to serve the late-night talk show host, he has been "absolutely lovely" to everyone in the restaurant.
