Restaurateur Keith McNally strongly emphasized his belief in second chances after James Corden's apology.

Keith McNally has been hailed as "The Restaurateur Who Invented Downtown" by the New York Times. He owns several known food establishments in the Big Apple. 

Just recently, famed restaurateur Keith McNally imposed a ban on TV host James Corden after calling him out as the "most abusive" customer ever in the 25 years of the Balthazar restaurant.

However, due to a recent development, "Balthazar" owner Keith McNally retracted the ban after James Corden had reached out to him just hours after his public statement. Earlier, Keith McNally took to Instagram to detail the incident reports of Corden's unpleasant attitude as a customer.

Now, the restaurateur posted an update on the issue in a new Instagram post, where he wrote how the "The Late Late Show with James Corden" star had called him and "apologized profusely" regarding his past actions.

"James Corden just called me and apologized profusely. Having fucked up myself more than most people, I strongly believe in second chances." McNally said, prior to joking, "So if James Corden lets me host his Late Late Show for 9 months, I'll immediately rescind his ban from Balthazar."

Additionally, McNally elaborated on his decision to forgive the comedian and extended an invitation to Corden to dine back at Balthazar.

"Anyone magnanimous enough to apologize to a deadbeat layabout like me (and my staff) doesn't deserve to be banned from anywhere. Especially Balthazar. So Come Back to the 5 & Dime, Jimmy Corden, Jimmy Corden. All is Forgiven."

Draws Critics' Mixed Reactions

Following McNally's announcement to forgive James Corden, netizens took to the comments section to express their take on the apology.

One user commented, "Of course he apologized. He's being dragged everywhere online. The only form of an acceptable apology is changed behavior." implying that the comedian had only done so to save face amidst backlash.

Meanwhile, another user noted that Corden's troubling behavior reflected in other establishments, "Fine - but he needs to clean up his act across the board. Apparently yours is not the only restaurant or other staff that he abuses. It's not ok."
