Balenciaga has severed relations with Kanye West following many inflammatory statements he made online.

In a statement to Women's Wear Daily, the French brand's parent firm Kering stated, "Balenciaga has no longer any affiliation nor any intentions for future initiatives associated to this artist."

The statement didn't go into much detail, but it's clear why he was let go.

Meanwhile, according to a source close to the "Life of Pablo" rapper told The Sun, the entire situation has damaged him since he is trying to become a respected figure in the fashion world.

"His association with Balenciaga has really boosted the brand but it was decided they will not be working with him any time in the near future."

Kanye and Balenciaga collaborated on Yeezy Gap Engineered by Balenciaga, despite the former having severed relations with Gap in recent months.

In early 2022, Yeezy and Balenciaga released several long-awaited items.

Kanye also debuted the Balenciaga 2023 summer collection at the most recent Paris Fashion Week.

Meanwhile, his ex-wife, Kim Kardashian, remains on Balenciaga's list.

According to the insider, they also work with the "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" alum, and Kanye believes they would prefer have a professional connection with her and stay out of the rapper's controversy.

"His beliefs have frequently made him controversial, but he's truly crossed the line with his current actions, and he's doing damage to his reputation," they continued.

Nobody at Balenciaga is surprised by his anti-Semitic threats and statements against George Floyd, according to the source, because the fashion brand already understands they are both inconsistent with their beliefs.

Balenciaga executives were equally disturbed by his "White Lives Matter" clothing, and they promptly convened a meeting following his performance.

"Brands like Balenciaga, for example, do not want to be associated with whatever is inspiring Kanye." At this point, they feel it is more than a mental health problem."

Following Kering's statement that Kanye West will be let go, Vogue editor Gabriella Karefa-Johnson stated that the magazine does not plan to collaborate with him after what he has said.

According to a Vogue spokesman who told Page Six, the magazine and its editor-in-chief, Anna Wintour, have condemned the rapper and decided to separate themselves from him.

The 72-year-old design legend has a lengthy history with Kanye, and she was recently photographed wearing Yeezy sunglasses beside the rapper.

However, it appears like Kanye will not appear in Vogue again.
