"Game of Thrones" star Maisie Williams opens up on her real feelings on the HBO fantasy drama television series.

Maisie Williams made her acting debut at the age of 12 in the HBO fantasy drama series, "Game of Thrones", which is based on George R. R. Martin's book, "A Song of Ice and Fire".

Maisie Williams Weighs in on 'Game of Thrones' Criticism

During a recent Twitch stream with Maisie's brother, James Williams, the 25-year-old star shared her real feelings about "Game of Thrones", to which she stated that after re-watching the whole series, she felt that it "fell off at the end".

"It kinda popped off," Maisie expressed during the Twitch stream. "For the longest time... I could never see it from the outside. So I could never say that and actually understand it. For the first time, it feels good to be proud of it. It was 10 years of my life."

Maisie Williams' criticism echoed most of the fans' thoughts on the season finale. Although "Game of Thrones" was an excellent hit for HBO, garnering Emmy awards and a massive fanbase over the years, the series ended abruptly after 8 seasons in 2019, as many fans find that the ending felt rushed.

She elaborated, "I was heartbroken when Eddard died, yet I knew it was coming," Williams said, referring to Arya's father, played by Sean Bean, who was ruthlessly killed off in Season 1.

Why Maisie Williams Doesn't Miss 'Game of Thrones'

In addition to her criticism of the show's progression, when asked about what part of the show she misses the most, Maisie shockingly revealed this answer:

"Can I say none of it?," Maisie expressed, "I don't think it's healthy [to miss it], because I loved it. I look at it so fondly, and I look at it with such pride. But why would I want to make myself feel sad about the greatest thing that ever happened to me? I don't want to associate that with feelings of pain."

Maisie Williams has recently revealed that she felt internally conflicted about her role as Arya Stark on the HBO series, as discovering her empowerment in femininity did not align with her character's boyish nature.
