Tiffany Haddish is working on learning "balance and boundaries."

The 43-year-old actress and comedian made headlines over the weekend after she was arrested in Beverly Hills for falling asleep behind the wheel Friday. She was cited for driving under the influence. It was the second time in two years she was cited for DUI. The "Girls Trip" star has since announced she plans to get help.

"I'm going to get some help so I can learn balance and boundaries," Haddish told Entertainment Tonight.

According to Haddish, her Tesla parked itself when she dozed off. However, it was blocking a portion of the street.

She had a busy day on Thanksgiving Day. She fed the underprivileged at The Laugh Factory and delivered a special holiday set at the venue's 43rd annual feast for locals. Later that day, she shared a video of herself enjoying the yacht rock band Yächtley Crëw's performance at the El Rey Theatre. In the clip, the comedian was visibly having fun as she was seen singing and dancing.

Haddish was in good spirits following the arrest. She even complimented the Beverly Hills Police Department, who responded to the call for their professionalism.

Police confirmed to ET that they received a call after witnesses noticed that Haddish's vehicle stopped in the middle of Beverly Drive with her seemingly asleep in the driver's seat. When they arrived at the scene, they arrested her for suspicion of driving under the influence but released her several hours later.

Haddish addressed the recent DUI incident in her comedy set at the Laugh Factory in Long Beach, California. An audience member asked her about it, and in an audio obtained by TMZ, she responded, "What happened last night? Ah, damn. You tell me. I don't know."

"I prayed to God to send me a man with a job, preferably in a uniform. God answered my prayers because God believes in me," she added jokingly.

In January 2022, Haddish was arrested in Georgia for the same citation. The Peachtree City Police Department confirmed to ET that they received a 911 call concerning a driver asleep at the wheel. She was transported to the Fayette County Jail without incident.

She posted a $1,666 bond after being in police custody for a few hours, according to TMZ. The outlet also shared a smiling mug shot of the "Nobody's Fool" star.

Later that month, Haddish poked fun at the arrest when she appeared on "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon."

"I've been praying to God to send me a new man, a good man. God went ahead and sent me four in a uniform," Haddish quipped. "I wasn't expecting it. I was not expecting that at all. Now, I've got a really great lawyer, and we're going to work it out. I've got to get my asking of things to God a little better."
