Meghan Markle might embark on a career similar to American businesswoman and writer Martha Stewart.

Royal correspondent and biographer Omid Scobie sat down for an interview with The Independent ahead of the release of his new book, "Endgame." During the conversation, he weighed in on the Duchess of Sussex's future career years after she and Prince Harry left the royal family in 2020.

According to Scobie, it's unlikely Markle would revive her lifestyle blog The Tig because she's reportedly focused on building "something more accessible, something rooted in her love of details, curating, hosting, life's simple pleasures, and family."

When the "Finding Freedom" co-author was asked to elaborate, he hinted that Markle could follow in the footsteps of Stewart. The 82-year-old lifestyle guru is a cookbook author, TV personality, media mogul and businesswoman.

"I'm not being deliberately mysterious," Scobie explained. "My mind always goes to [Gwyneth Paltrow's lifestyle business] Goop, but when I suggested that to someone with some knowledge they said, 'Oh, no, this isn't going to be about selling products.' So who knows? The next Martha Stewart?"

He added that Markle is waiting to escape the shadow of the royal family before launching her new venture.

Richard Kay, Daily Mail's editor-at-large and royal commentator, previously weighed in on Prince Harry's issues and how they might have affected his wife's career. Kay claimed that the Duke of Sussex was "tainting her brand" because of his falling out with the British royal family.

For months, Markle kept a low-key profile and didn't join her husband when he promoted and made interviews for his memoir earlier this year. Kay claimed that Markle's disappearance from the public spotlight might not be beneficial for her impending comeback.

"Is it because she wanted to give a bit more space to Harry, who had so much to get off his chest this year with his ghastly book and his interviews about his family?" Kay wondered. "Maybe she wanted to put a bit of clear blue water between what he had to say and what she was going to do next, didn't want to taint her brand. However, what is her brand, and will that brand still be there? The longer she's out of the public eye, the harder it will be to kickstart it."

Markle made multiple outings last week. She joined Prince Harry at the Autism Acceptance Night at Rogers Arena during the Canucks vs. San Jose Sharks game.

While they were still in Canada, she also visited the Justice for Girls group to discuss young women's leadership. She first visited the nonprofit in 2020, when they gifted her with a gold-and-diamond whale tail pendant that had been donated by the local jeweler Hollie Bartlett, a member of the Haisla tribe, according to People.
