Kylie Jenner has revealed that she and Jordyn Woods never completely severed ties.

While it appeared to fans that the two did not stay friends following the 2019 cheating scandal involving Woods and Tristan Thompson, the ex of Jenner's sister Khloé Kardashian, the beauty mogul admitted that she and Woods had never fully been out of each other's lives.

In a candid conversation with Jennifer Lawrence for Interview published Monday, Jenner disclosed, "Jordyn and I, we always stayed in touch throughout the years, and we would meet up at my house and catch up and just talk through everything. We never fully cut each other off, and one day, naturally, we were like, we want to get sushi, and we don't want to hide anymore."

The pair's July sushi date in Los Angeles, where they were seen together in public for the first time in four years, had been perceived as a recent reconciliation at the time, according to E! News.

Reflecting on the past, Jenner said that the period of separation was ultimately beneficial for both of them.

"There's a learning lesson in everything, and I think that in a weird way, everything happens how it's supposed to happen," she noted. "We were so attached at the hip that we needed space to grow into the people that we were supposed to be. I needed that independence and that confidence because she was like my security blanket for so long."

While Kardashian has not publicly addressed Jenner's revelation, she had previously encouraged her younger sister to reconcile with Woods during the "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" reunion in December 2021.

"I don't care enough to ever hurt my sister," Kardashian said at the time.

Thompson, who was at the center of the 2019 scandal, recently had an "overdue" conversation with Jenner during an episode of "The Kardashians."

Expressing remorse, the NBA player acknowledged the impact of his actions on Jenner, stating, "You lost Jordyn, who is a big part of your life. You guys were two peas in a pod. So, the fact that I put myself and her in a situation that wasn't right and wasn't smart made it tough for you and Khloé."

The Kylie Cosmetics founder appreciated Thompson's apology, stating, "Thank you for saying that. I appreciate that. Jordyn and I are cool. We still talk and catch up. We're good."

This public acknowledgment marked the first time Jenner addressed the current state of her friendship with Woods, whom she met when they were in eighth grade.

The pair's friendship came to an abrupt end when it was reported that Thompson had cheated on Kardashian -- with whom he shares daughter True Thompson, 5, and son Tatum Thompson, 11 months -- with Woods at a house party.

Woods later said on "Red Table Talk" that she was drunk when she and Thompson kissed at the gathering.
