NSYNC's Lance Bass hinted at a piece of good news for the group's fans during his guest appearance on Bilt Rewards founder Ankur Jain's online game show "Rent Free."

During the second question in the game, he was asked to name six iconic boybands, where he got four answers correct per the collected responses from the Bilt Members: Backstreet Boys, NSYNC, BTS and The Beatles.

Bass then joked about his band getting chosen as among the iconic ones, saying, "Yeah. This is a young crowd. And No. 2, guys, what are you talking about? Boo."

After that, Jain asked him how he felt about doing "Trolls," where he reunited with his bandmates, to which he responded, "'Trolls' was amazing. It was nice to get back in the studio with those guys. It's been a lot of fun."

Asked about another possible reunion, Bass said, "We are talking about it, and I hope to have some good news, at some point."

Jain then pushed for more details by saying, "Jan. 1 on rent day," but Bass responded with a laugh, "Give us a little more time than that."

During the first part of the game, Bass also gave a fun fact about NSYNC: "One fun fact, NSYNC was the No. 1 seller of cassette tapes for years...to the end of the 90s. For some reason, they always liked buying our albums on cassette tapes."

He also sang a snippet of the band's Christmas song "Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays," which, according to Jain, was his jam.

In related news, Bass and his NSYNC bandmates Justin Timberlake, JC Chasez, Joey Fatone and Chris Kirkpatrick reunited at the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards last September.

Although they did not perform on the VMA stage, they presented the award for Best Pop to Taylor Swift.

"I had your dolls!" Taylor quipped after receiving her award at the time. "You're pop personified, so to receive this from your golden pop hands is really too much."

Meanwhile, when the NSYNC members came together for the 2023 movie "Trolls: Band Together," they recorded a song for the film in which Timberlake voiced the character of Branch.

The boyband first revealed a teaser for its song "Better Place" on Sept. 15. Justin Timberlake told his bandmates in the teaser, "If we do this song, it's a love letter to our fans. I would be honored to have the group on this song."

NSYNC broke up in 2004, as Bass revealed in his 2007 memoir. The iconic group released its first new song in almost 20 years with "Better Place."

The members also attended the special screening of the new "Trolls" movie in Hollywood, California, last November.
