Following numerous celebrity breakups in 2023, some fans and netizens speculated about the status of John Krasinski and Emily Blunt's marriage after a video of the couple's conversation during the 2024 Golden Globes went viral on TikTok.

In a TikTok video uploaded by CBS on Tuesday, several tried to lip-read what Krasinski and Blunt were talking about.

One netizen commented, "Did he say 'I can't wait to divorce?' and she said, 'Hey,' and he stated, 'I'm serious?"

Another person who's partially deaf and could allegedly read lips claimed, "The way his bottom lip touches his top teeth, it's either 'divorce' or 'enforce,' but the latter doesn't make sense."

"I've watched this 500 times trying to convince myself he said something other than divorce," commented another netizen.

"I believe he is saying he can't wait for divorce. The energy between them seems really tense," said someone else, which prompted another user to agree: "Agreed. They're kind of awkward here. I hope it's not true though."

"He absolutely said, 'I can't wait to divorce.' You can actually hear it as well as see it," opined a different netizen.

"He said divorce, but perhaps that's their brand of humor or flirting," said another.

Emily Blunt and John Krasinski attend the 81st Annual Golden Globe Awards at The Beverly Hilton on January 07, 2024 in Beverly Hills, California.

Meanwhile, others took a more positive approach and argued that the 13-year couple was just talking about the weather since it looked chilly outside.

"You can hear her say, 'It's actually kinda chilly right now.' And he responds, 'I can't wait to get indoors," commented another user.

Another person quipped, "Maybe he said, 'I can't wait for hors d'oeuvres.'"

Other netizens thought Krasinski said that he couldn't wait for the awards.

"You folks need to quit with what you think he said. He absolutely LOVES her. Watch interviews on both of them. Leave them alone," a fan of the celebrity couple commented.

In one video, Krasinski was caught on camera keeping his wife warm while they were outdoors, where it was visibly windy.

In another, Blunt was seen wearing her husband's red coat over her dress inside the ballroom of the awards ceremony.

According to People, the "A Quiet Place" couple's relationship dates back to November 2008. The pair reportedly first met during a night out in Los Angeles through a friend.

Late in 2008, they reportedly went on their first date. In August 2009, they got engaged after less than a year of being together.

On July 10, 2010, the couple tied the knot in a private ceremony at George Clooney's estate in Lake Como, Italy.
