The cast of Oppenheimer is becoming increasingly more atomic as Tony Goldwyn joins the absolutely nuclear cast.

Tony Goldwyn is a name that has become more familar to the ears of many. He consistently shone on screen in the hit series Scandal. He gave a rockstar performance as the tennis coach Paul Cohen in the smash-hit, 100% HBO retention rate film King Richard. Now, he is moving from the tennis court into the science lab for this highly anticipated bio-pic.

According to an article on The Hollywood Reporter, Goldywn is all set to join this cast which already include phenoms such as, Cillian Murphy, Robert Downey Jr., Matt Damon, Emily Blunt, Florence Pugh, Rami Malek, Kenneth Branagh, Benny Safdie, Josh Hartnett, Dane DeHaan, Jack Quaid, Matthew Modine, Alden Ehrenreich, David Krumholtz, David Dastmalchian, David Rysdahl and Alex Wolff. We do not yet know what part Tony Goldwyn will be playing in this film, but we are sure he will rise to the occasion.

The film will chronicle the true story of the inventors of the world-changing atomic bomb. The film is based off of the novel American Prometheus: The Triumph and Tragedy of J. Robert Oppenheimer by Kai Bird. As far as casting goes, we know that Murphy will be taking on the role of one of the inventors, J. Robert Oppenheimer. Only some other casting decisions have been announced. The rest are being held underwraps for a later date.

We are so excited to see this incredible cast take to the screen for this explosive film.
