Drake's father has finally been permitted to enter Canada after a 15-year wait.

The rapper took to his Instagram stories Monday to share a photo of his father, Dennis Graham, visiting him in Toronto.

"First time in over 15 years they let the OG back into Canada," Drake captioned the image.

In the snap, Dennis, 69, and his ex and Drake's mother, Sandi Graham, 63, can be seen posing together and smiling for the camera.

"Thank you to everyone that helped us out," added Drake while tagging his father's Instagram account.

While Drake did not explicitly mention the reason for his father's extended absence from Canada, it is speculated to be related to legal matters.

Drake, who has a tattoo of Dennis' mugshot, previously alluded to his father's legal troubles in his 2011 song "Look What You've Done," citing "minor charges and child support that just wasn't paid" as impediments to his dad's entry into Canada, as pointed out by Billboard Canada.

Meanwhile, Dennis has embraced his role as a grandfather, spending quality time with Drake's 6-year-old son, Adonis.

A new photo Dennis shared on his Instagram page showed the grandfather and grandson duo having breakfast together.

"My grandson and I having a toast over breakfast before he goes to school, my heart," Dennis captioned the picture. "Love this little guy."

Dennis previously denied claims of being an "absentee father" during an interview on Nick Cannon's "Close Conversations" radio show in 2019.

Drake's father claimed he and his son talk almost every day despite the rapper's lyrics portraying Dennis as being estranged.

"We really got into a deep conversation about that. I said, 'Drake, why are you saying all this stuff about me, man? Like, this is not cool.' And he goes, 'Dad, it sells records.' I said, 'OK, cool. Talk about me,'" Dennis claimed, according to Us Weekly.

Drake later fired back via social media, writing: "Every bar I ever spit was the truth and the truth is hard for some people to accept."

Despite occasional tensions and public disagreements, Drake and his father share a strong bond.

Dennis, originally from Memphis, Tennessee, has a history in Toronto, where he met Sandi in 1984.

While Dennis currently resides in Los Angeles, he reportedly accompanies Drake to visit family when the rapper's touring schedule brings him to Memphis.

In 2019, Dennis shared in an Us Weekly interview how fatherhood had positively impacted Drake, describing the rapper's bond with Adonis as "beautiful."
