Tristan Thompson's suspension from the NBA has some fans speculating could lead to him and Khloe Kardashian getting back together again.

On Tuesday, the NBA handed the 32-year-old Cleveland Cavaliers center a 25-game suspension without pay for violating the league's anti-drug policy, ESPN reported.

The suspension comes after Thompson tested positive for ibutamoren, a growth hormone, and SARM LGD-4033, a substance used for muscle enhancement in bodybuilding.

The NBA's decision means Thompson won't be eligible to return until March 16, giving him extra free time -- which he may spend with Kardashian and their kids.

Some social media users speculated that the reality star may take back her on-again, off-again ex during this basketball hiatus.

"Khloe will [probably] take him back AGAIN since he will be around more often," suggested one Reddit user.

Another user pointed out that Kardashian rekindled her romance with Thompson back in 2020 after spending the lockdown together.

"Do we think Khloe will take him back now that he's not working? They got back together in Covid when he wasn't playing and just hanging around in like 2020," the person wrote.

Another user on X, formerly Twitter, claimed, "Tristan is gonna have to move back in with Khloe. He ain't gonna be able to pay his mortgage now. I'm gonna need him to use his thinker a little before she throws hands at him."

Some appeared to have foreseen the possibility of a reconciliation between the exes before Thompson's suspension was announced.

"Khloe is getting back with Tristan. I feel that this last season was a primer, a conditioning if you will, a testing of the waters to prepare us all and prepare Khloe for when it is made public," one "Kardashians" viewer wrote on X last week.

Others took jabs at Thompson, drawing parallels between his use of performance-enhancing drugs and his past cheating scandals.

"Glad to see Tristan Thompson can cheat both on Khloe Kardashian and the game of basketball," wrote one X user.

Thompson's history with Kardashian has been marked by ups and downs.

They started dating in August 2016 but broke up in February 2019 following a cheating scandal involving Jordyn Woods. Although the pair reconnected in August 2020, they separated again in June 2021.

In December 2021, Maralee Nichols claimed that she hooked up with Thompson in March that year when he was still dating Kardashian, and that the NBA player fathered her then-newborn. Thompson confirmed paternity in January 2022.

Despite their tumultuous history, Kardashian and Thompson continue to co-parent their children, daughter True and son Tatum.

The exes welcomed their second child via surrogate in August 2022, months after their split.

The NBA player also continues to appear in her family's ongoing Hulu series, "The Kardashians."
