TMZ recently resurfaced a 2020 clip from the 'Scam Goddess' podcast featuring Edebiri, 28, who hosted 'Saturday Night Live' with Lopez as the musical guest on Saturday. On the 'Scam Goddess' podcast, Edebiri alleged that Lopez "thinks" she's singing on many of her songs, suggesting it may not be her vocals, claiming Lopez uses ghost singers on her tracks.

The 'Irish' actress further expressed her belief that Lopez, 54, "thinks that she's still good" despite not allegedly singing on most of her songs. Edebiri's cohost, Laci Mosely, concurred with the actress' perspective.

While the reason for the clip's resurgence is unclear, fans quickly rallied behind Edebiri, supporting her perspective on Lopez's musical endeavors. One viral Twitter — now known as X — post asserted that "TMZ cannot defeat Ayo Edebiri or block her bag," highlighting her protection by various entities, including God, the Republic of Ireland, Nigerian WhatsApp accounts, and the truth itself.

In a 'SNL' sketch titled, "Why'd You Say It?," Edebiri playfully addressed her previous comments on the podcast.

Acknowledging her mistake, she humorously expressed the importance of being thoughtful in online comments, especially considering the impact.

"Okay, okay! We get it. It's wrong to leave mean comments or post comments just for clout, or run your mouth on a podcast," said the Emmy Award winner, encouraging greater consideration in online interactions. "And you don't consider the impact because you're 24 and stupid. But I think I speak for everyone when I say from now on, we're going to be a lot more thoughtful about what we post online."
