Jennifer Lopez Rips Hair Extension During 'SNL' Performance; Viewers React

Jennifer Lopez suffered a hair extension malfunction on "Saturday Night Live!"

Ben Affleck's wife made an appearance on the iconic NBC comedy show hosted by Emmy-winning "The Bear" star Ayo Edebiri. Lopez wowed the audience when she delivered two songs from her upcoming album 'This Is Me...Now.'

J.Lo rocked a stylish cropped black-and-white suit when she performed a new version of "Can't Get Enough" with Latto and REDMAN. However, while performing the summery track with high-energy choreography, one of her extensions seemingly came loose and she pulled it out on live TV, Page Six reported.

An eagle-eyed fan shared a clip capturing the exact moment.

"Not Jennifer Lopez literally snatching her own wig off," the user wrote in the caption.

The clip received several reactions from other users. Many were impressed with how professional Lopez was by continuing with her performance smoothly as if there were no faux pas.

"What a performer, shake it off and keep on," one wrote with clapping hands emoji.

Another added, "The show must go on. JLO ate up that performance," with a fire emoji.

"She slick cuz didn't even see that," a third person wrote.

"Haha love her! [crown and fire emojis] What a beast on stage [high five emoji]," a fourth person opined.

"S**t happens, even to JLo [woman shrugging emoji]. She handled it like a boss though [hundred points and red heart emojis]," another said.

A different user agreed, writing, "Didn't even notice. Expert."

Interestingly, the episode's host, Edebiri, previously came under fire for criticizing Lopez when she appeared on the "Scam Goddess" podcast in 2020. She joked that Lopez's career was "one long scam."

"She thinks she's on multiple tracks, but it's not her," Edebiri said.

Edebiri addressed the controversy during a sketch where the now 28-year-old celebrity admitted she was being tactless at the time.

"It's wrong to leave mean comments or post comments just for clout or run your mouth on a podcast and you don't consider the impact because you're 24 and stupid," Edebiri said, per Page Six. "But I think I speak for everyone when I say from now on, we're going to be a lot more thoughtful about what we post online."

Later on the show, Lopez returned to perform the title track of her "This Is Me... Now" album. She looked gorgeous in her pink floral, floor-length gown with a daring split during her second performance.

Lopez's ninth studio album is dropping on Feb. 16. According to the singer, her husband, Affleck, inspired her new record.
