Barron Trump is likely to follow his mother, Melania Trump, when handling public attention.

Melania is very protective of her child with former U.S. President Donald Trump. She is rarely seen in public because she's reportedly looking after Barron. Eden Gillott, a crisis management expert at Gillott Communications, weighed in on Barron's future, and she claims that he is more likely to be like his mom when it comes to living his life.

"Barron will most likely opt for Melania's elegance of privacy rather than his father's love of the spotlight," Gillot told The List. "This selective visibility could define his persona, underscoring the sophistication of leading a life of quiet dignity amidst a world that often confuses noise with influence."

Even if Barron is a Trump, Gillott believes he could still carve his own path, redefine the name and make his own legacy.

"Barron's choice of a quieter path could mark him as the bearer of a new legacy where he redefines what it looks like to carry the name," she continued.

The expert noted that opting for a quieter legacy could become "his signature trait that he carries well into whatever path he chooses, marking him as a figure of thoughtful consideration."

Trump is hoping to be re-elected as U.S. president in 2024. He has been spending much of his time on the campaign trail with his eldest sons, Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump. However, Barron, 17, and Melania have maintained their support for Trump behind the scenes.

Gillot said this year could bring more attention to the family, including Barron, who will turn 18 by March. The teenager could reportedly use this to his advantage and let the public know what he wants.

"Barron has a unique opportunity to capitalize on this increased visibility to subtly shape his own narrative. While his father's potential presidency could heighten public interest, Barron could use this moment not for direct engagement but as a chance to reinforce his personal brand of quiet distinction," the expert continued.

Barron will graduate from Oxbridge Academy in Palm Beach, Florida, this year. He will likely go to college in the fall.

Gillott added that Barron could focus on his "education and personal interest" and step into the spotlight later. Melania and Trump's son could reportedly "navigate the heightened attention in a way that aligns with his preference for privacy, setting a precedent for engaging with the public on his own terms."
