In 2022, Adidas severed ties with the Chicago rapper after he spewed a series of offensive and anti-semetic statements on social media, sparking outrage.

"I can say anti-Semitic things, and Adidas can't drop me. Now what?" West, 46, said on the 'Drink Champs' podcast.

The German sportswear brand faced immense pressure from the public, imploring that they cut ties with the "Vultures" rapper. This resulted in a reported loss of over $600 million in sales for the last three months, and a quarterly net loss of over $550 million.

Gulden was a guest on Nicolai Tangen's 'In Good Company' podcast when he was prompted to speak on the fallout with West, sharing an amicable perspective.

"I don't think he's a bad person. It just came across that way," he said. "That meant we lost that business. One of the most successful collabs in history. When you work with third parties, that can happen. It's part of the game."

He added: "I think Kanye West is one of the most creative people in the world. I don't think he meant what he said."
