The top-earning stars in Hollywood in 2023 have been named.

On Wednesday, Forbes released its prestigious list of the highest-earning male and female actors for the calendar year of 2023. Estimations were calculated based on the celebrities' earnings related to entertainment alone.

Here are the 10 highest-paid stars in the industry:

10. Denzel Washington

With a career spanning over four decades, the 69-year-old actor is still among the highest-paid actors in the entertainment industry.

For the calendar year of 2023, he earned $28 million. Part of his earnings can be credited to the latest installment of the "Equalizer" franchise released last year.

9. Ben Affleck

In 2023, Ben Affleck directed and starred in "Air," his and Matt Damon's first film project in their studio startup, Artists Equity. Per Forbes, the movie amassed $90 million in gross box-office earnings before moving to Amazon Prime Video.

With $45 million gross earnings last year, the 51-year-old actor secured the spot as the ninth highest-paid actor of 2023.

7. Jason Statham

With $48 million gross earnings, Jason Statham ties with Leonardo DiCaprio at the seventh spot on the list.

The 56-year-old actor starred in three big-budget franchise films last year, namely: "Fast X," "Meg 2: The Trench" and "Expend4bles."

7. Leonardo DiCaprio

Forbes reported that the "Killers of the Flower Moon" actor earned a hefty salary and a buy-out from the epic western drama film by Martin Scorsese.

His $48 million earnings landed him at the seventh spot on the list.

6. Jennifer Aniston

Aside from starring alongside Adam Sandler in "Murder Mystery 2," the 55-year-old actress also earned from acting and executive producing episodes of "The Morning Show."

She is one of the actresses who continues to star in big-screen and small-screen projects. In 2023, she amassed $56 million in gross earnings.

4. Matt Damon

Ben Affleck's best friend and partner in the production company Artists Equity is Forbes' fourth highest-paid actor of 2023 with $50 million in gross earnings. He shares the spot with Ryan Gosling.

His earnings can be credited to "Air" and "Oppenheimer," among many others.


4. Ryan Gosling

After taking on the role of Ken in the multi-awarded "Barbie" film, which landed him an Oscar nomination, and other entertainment projects, Ryan Gosling received $50 million in gross earnings last year.

On top of that, his song "I'm Just Ken" has amassed over 109 million streams on Spotify as of press time.


3. Tom Cruise

At 61 years old, Tom Cruise still earns big in Hollywood. In 2023, he reportedly generated $53 million in gross earnings.

With his "first-dollar gross" deal, he cashed in on "Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning Part One" and received streaming and on-demand profits for the 2022 film "Top Gun: Maverick," per Forbes.

2. Margot Robbie

"Barbie" star Margot Robbie recorded $78 million in gross earnings for the calendar year of 2023. The majority of this achievement can be credited to the worldwide box office success of the Greta Gerwig movie.

Aside from "Barbie," the 33-year-old actress starred in another 2023 film, "Asteroid City," and co-produced "Saltburn."

With $97 million in gross earnings, Adam Sandler topped the list. One of his most successful projects last year was the second installation of "Murder Mystery," which scored Netflix's second-biggest opening weekend for a comedy film with over 42 million views.
