An alleged new video of Kate Middleton and Prince William appears to have failed to quell speculation from royal fans and social media users about her health and whereabouts.

The phrase "Not Kate or William" trended on X, formerly Twitter, Monday after TMZ released a video it says shows the Prince and Princess of Wales enjoying an outing at a local farm shop in Windsor, England, Saturday.

The sighting was first reported by The Sun, but at the time, no outlet provided photos of Princess Kate and Prince William from their trip to Windsor Farm Shop, which is located not far from their family home in Windsor.

In the video shared by TMZ, which obtained the clip from an eyewitness, Middleton is seen smiling and in good spirits as she walks side-by-side with Prince William. Both of them carried bags as they exited the shop.

Middleton can be seen sporting an all-black casual athletic outfit, including a jacket, leggings, and sneakers.

Prince William was also dressed casually in a black jacket, blue trousers, sneakers, and a gray cap.

Despite TMZ's assurance that the woman in the video is "100%" Middleton, a number of royal watchers appeared unconvinced, with some speculating that the woman may be a lookalike or that the video may have been "staged."

"If Kate Middleton is well enough to be relaxed and chatting and walking, as this video shows a woman doing, she can do a 30-second video of reassurance to everyone in the world concerned for her. Now, this is starting to be really weird," one person wrote on X.

"That's not Kate or William," a second X user insisted. "It's two random members of the public visiting a farm shop."

Another agreed, claiming: "Lol, that's not Kate or William. Kate has a thicker neck and different shaped skull. These are hired [lookalikes]. C'mon."

Some said they found it strange that no bystander turned to look at Middleton and Prince William in the video despite the media frenzy surrounding the couple over the past few weeks.

"What's odd to me is no one turns to look at them. After everything that has been said and questions about her whereabouts and well being-and NO ONE turns to look in amazement that she's walking by? That's not Kate or William," one user tweeted.

Despite the ongoing speculation and theories, TMZ said an eyewitness who was present at the Windsor Farm Shop at the time confirmed it was Middleton.

"I noticed a couple choosing loaves of bread and the woman turned her face, and I felt like I had seen the face before. It was familiar. I knew it from somewhere," TMZ quoted eyewitness Nelson Silva as saying.

According to the outlet, Silva said he filmed the Prince and Princess of Wales as they left the shop.

"I think they walked out through a gate out of the grounds. They just vanished and I didn't see a car. I just wanted to share with my family footage and show just how normal they were," Silva said.

Silva reportedly described Middleton as "happy and relaxed" during the outing.

"They look happy just to be able to go to a shop and mingle. Kate looked relieved like it was a success going to a shop. It felt natural," Silva said, according to TMZ.

TMZ also shared a screenshot of the video's metadata, which confirmed that it had been taken Saturday near Middleton and Prince William's home in Windsor.

In addition, celebrity gossip account DeuxMoi also confirmed that the woman in TMZ's clip is "100%" Middleton.

Enstarz could not independently verify the authenticity of the video.

The video comes over a week after Middleton posted an apology on X over a photo posted on the official Prince and Princess of Wales social media accounts to celebrate Mother's Day in the U.K. earlier this month.

The image, which showed Middleton posing with her three children, was pulled by major news agencies due to concerns of manipulation.

In her post, Middleton apologized for any "confusion," saying she "occasionally" experiments with editing.

The debacle only fueled the speculation surrounding Middleton due to her absence from the spotlight since undergoing abdominal surgery in mid-January.

Kensington Palace earlier said Middleton will not return to public duties until after Easter or the end of March.
