Russell Simmons 'Waiting For Any Call' From Daughter Aoki After Vittorio Assaf Steamy Pics Leak

Russell Simmons has seemingly reacted to his 21-year-old daughter Aoki Lee Simmons' steamy makeout session with Vittorio Assaf, 65.

Just one day after photos of Aoki and Assaf's PDA emerged, the Def Jam Recordings co-founder took to Instagram to post a sweet message sending "unconditional love" to his daughter.

"Throw back from last fathers day nyc ...bode bikram yoga express class .. vegan lunch cryotherapy vitamin drip ... all around amazing day [heart emoji]," Simmons wrote alongside a photo of him and Aoki, whom he shares with ex-wife Kimora Lee Simmons.

He added, "@aokileesimmons love you always."

According to Page Six, Simmons originally concluded his message with, "[I'm] always waiting for any call any time [heart emoji]."

However, this part appears to have since been removed.

Simmons' post sparked mixed reactions from social media users, with some urging him to reach out to his daughter first.

"I think it's weird [as f**k] when parents say they're waiting for their kids to call them when they believe they're in some kinda trouble," one person commented.

"It's ok to call her. You are the parent, after all," a second user commented on his post.

"Keep reaching out to her. She'll eventually come around," another wrote.

However, others suggested that Simmons may have already tried to contact Aoki but did not receive a response.

"Why are y'all in the comments giving him advice on his own daughter? He can make a post about her in light of what we saw in the media. Perhaps he did call her too. We don't know anyone's life despite what we see on [social media," one user wrote.

Another commented, "Y'all keep saying call her, maybe he's [is] calling, and she [has] been avoiding his calls."

Aoki's mom Kimora also seemingly responded to the photos of her daughter with the much older businessman by posting a video of a mother panda bear and her cub on her Instagram Story.

"On my last nerve right now!" Kimora captioned the clip.

The ex-couple's posts came not long after Page Six published photos of Aoki kissing Assaf, who is 44 years her senior, during a St. Barts getaway Tuesday.

In the snaps, which were reposted on X, the model and Harvard graduate was clad in a two-piece olive-green bikini as she packed on the PDA with the Serafina co-founder, who sported blue swim trunks.

Aoki appeared to have had a blast with the restaurateur, posing for Assaf as he took photos of her using his phone.

Aoki and her sister Ming Lee Simmons have a strained relationship with their dad after the siblings and their mother Kimora called out Simmons last year over his alleged abusive behavior.

The feud began in June 2023 after Ming subtly shaded Simmons by celebrating her mom on Father's Day instead of him, according to Page Six.

Following the diss, Simmons shared a cryptic quote on Instagram seemingly accusing Kimora of being the reason for his tense relationship with his daughters.

"Stop telling fathers they should have fought harder to see their children & start asking mothers why he had to fight at all," the message read.

Aoki fired back by alleging that her father "threatened and bullied" her sister and her grandmother.

She also claimed that her dad had caused her "panic attacks" and posted a muted video of Simmons yelling at her, according to Page Six.

Kimora also accused her ex-husband of verbal abuse and told him to "leave my kids alone" via her Instagram Story.

Simmons later publicly apologized to Aoki and Ming via Instagram, writing: "DEEPLY sorry for being frustrated and yelling ... but know this ... there are no conditions ... for sure I love you guys more than I love myself."
