Dwayne Johnson got candid about the "woke culture" and explained why he's not wading into politics this time.

Johnson sat down for an interview with Will Cain for Fox News' "Fox & Friends." During the chat, they recounted his move in 2020 when he endorsed President Joe Biden. The host asked the "Fast and Furious" star if he was happy with the current state of the country, and Johnson also explained why he would not endorse any politician this time, including Biden.

"Am I happy with the state of America right now? Well, that answer's no. Do I believe we're going to get better? I believe in that. I'm an optimistic guy, and I believe we can get better," Johnson said. "The endorsement that I made years ago with Biden was what I thought was the best decision for me at that time."

He admitted that he regretted the move because it caused division. So, the 51-year-old American actor and former wrestler has decided to keep himself away from politics and not endorse anyone this time.

"Am I going to do that again this year? That answer's no. I'm not going to do that," he told Cain. "Because what I realized that what that caused back then was something that tears me up in my guts back then and now, which is division. And that got me."

"The takeaway after that months and months and months, I started to realize like, 'Oh man, that caused an incredible amount of division in our country.' So I realize now going into this election, I'm not going to do that. I wouldn't do that because my goal is to bring our country together. I believe in that, in my DNA. So in the spirit of that, there's going to be no endorsement," he continued.

However, Johnson clarified that he wasn't afraid, but he just realized his "level of influence" and felt that it would be wiser for him to "keep my politics to myself."

The WWE superstar also said being honest was more important than worrying about being canceled. Nevertheless, he also admitted that the cancel culture somehow bothered him.

"To be real and to be direct and to be open and to be transparent.... that's important to me," he continued. "In today's easy cancel culture world and cancel culture, woke culture, this culture, that culture division, etc., that really bugs me."

In 2020, Johnson, who identified as an independent, endorsed Biden over Donald Trump.

"[Endorsing] is something that I've certainly not done in the past, so I'm gonna go big," the "Black Adam" star said at the time, per the Independent.

"As a registered independent for years now with centrist ideologies, I do feel that Vice President Biden and Senator Harris are the best choice to lead our country, and I am endorsing them to become president and vice president of our United States."
