The starting safety revealed that when he saw Biles, 27, on a high-profile dating app, he had no idea who she was, saying he would "See what's up." When he swiped right, he noticed they had matched.

"I always say the men are the catch," Owens stated, explaining that he was taking it easy in the early stages when Biles "booked" him, while he was secretly afraid to commit. What he thought was innocent commentary sent the internet into a frenzy.

Biles, the most decorated gymnast in history, sat with 'Call Her Daddy' podcast, saying her husband never said she "wasn't" a catch.

"That really hurt that they were talking about my husband like that," Biles explained. "For me it's like, talk about me all you want, but don't come for my family — never."

"I've been in the limelight long enough where I can brush things off. Have my little pow-wow about it, you're not going to know I cried about it, but I will be crying about some stuff. But...I only cry about it because I can't clap back," she said.

Biles explained that if she did clap back, she would hurt someone's feelings, and above all, she chooses to stay "classy."

"One night I broke down and I'm like, 'Why are you guys talking about my husband like this?' You don't know him," Biles said. "You don't know who he is...and if anybody's met him, you know he's the sweetest guy, will do anything for anybody."

Owens and Biles married in April 2023, and have since kept their followers updated on their journey, including details on renovating their home and cheering each other on.
