Jennifer Lopez allegedly wants to have a baby with her husband, Ben Affleck, and she has tried hard to persuade him about it, according to a report.

Lopez, 54, and Affleck, 51, first dated in the early 2000s. However, due to excessive media attention, they canceled their wedding days before they were set to walk the aisle and eventually called off their engagement. They reunited nearly 20 years later and wed in Las Vegas in 2022.

In the nearly two decades they were apart, both built and raised families with their previous partners. Lopez shares 16-year-old twins Emme and Max with her ex-husband Marc Anthony. Affleck also has three children with ex-wife Jennifer Garner -- Violet, 18, Seraphina, 15, and Samuel, 12. However, Lopez allegedly wants to expand their family, and she did everything to convince the actor and "finally got him to cave in," an anonymous source told Life & Style.

"She nagged him until he went along with it," the source added. "Ben was completely happy with the blended family they already have -- but he loves kids, that's why he agreed to having another. At the end of the day, he wants Jennifer to be happy."

Enstarz could not independently verify the information.

When it comes to having a baby, the "Let's Get Loud" singer and "Batman" star are reportedly still in the planning stages. Lopez allegedly wants a surrogate to carry their child.

"Jennifer is obsessing over every detail -- she intends to interview surrogate candidates herself and see where they live and be at every doctor's appointment," the source claimed.

"She talks about it nonstop. Ben figures it's easier to go along with her, but he's realizing what he's gotten himself into. It's just going to get more hectic!"

Affleck loves his wife so much that he often gives in to whatever she wants. When Lopez released the documentary about their romance "The Greatest Love Story Never Told" in February, Affleck reportedly had second thoughts. The "Gone Girl" star was reluctant to share the intimate details about their relationship. Lopez, however, pushed it even if she was aware of his hesitations because she knew that her husband would support her no matter what.

"I don't think [Ben] is very comfortable with me doing all of this," Lopez said. "But he loves me, he knows I'm an artist, and he's gonna support me in every way he can because he knows you can't stop me from making the music I made... he doesn't want to stop me. But that doesn't mean he's comfortable being the muse."
