One of the executive producers of Once Upon a Time teased fans with a detail from season 3 recently.

Executive producer Edward Kitsis told Entertainment Weekly on Friday that there will be something surprising, regarding the Magic Mirror (Giancarlo Esposito) in season 3.

"I think you're going to see a moment that you didn't realize you never saw but then realize you really wanted to see," Kitsis revealed. "It's one of those low-hanging fruits where we realized, 'Wait, we didn't see this?! Oh my God!'"

The Magic Mirror's Storybrooke counterpart, journalist Sidney Glass, was locked away in an asylum by Regina (Lana Parrilla) in the season 1 finale. Until it was announced that Esposito was returning for season 3 from his incarceration, it was unknown whether Glass or Esposito would be featured in the series ever again. And it is still unclear whether Kitsis' comments are referring to the Magic Mirror or Sidney Glass.
