K Michelle NBA Boyfriend Lance Stephenson: Attraction After J.R. Smith Game Win, She Says

VH1's new Love & Hip-Hop New York star K Michelle shared how she began dating NBA player Lance Stephenson.

Michelle said she was watching the 2013 NBA Eastern Conference Playoffs game, when she noticed Stephenson -- a guard for the Indiana Pacers -- was dominating her ex-boyfriend J. R. Smith, who plays for the New York Knicks.

"The other guy I was dating [Smith and Stephenson] were in the playoffs together. I was watching the game and it was this chocolate dude. He was just ballin'. He was just bustin' my ex's butt. I was like, 'Whoa, who is that? He is fine!" Michelle shared during an appearance on Power 99's The Rise N' Grind Morning Show.

Michelle said she began to communicating with Stephenson after following each other on more than one social media site.

"I Googled him and he was already following me on Twitter, but I didn't say nothing. I followed him back [on Twitter] but I didn't say nothing. I figured I'd run into him, it was so crazy. I put up a Vine and was following him on Vine and he said something and one day I commented on his Vine back," she said. 

"Then one day in front of everybody, he just gave me his phone number on Vine. I said, 'What are you doing? Do you know my fans will call you?' He was like, 'I ain't care. I was trying to get to you.' So that was it. I let him make his move and he did. I didn't know if we would ever talk or nothing like that and he said he had been looking at me for a while," Michelle added.

She also said in the interview that she met his parents.

Michelle revealed in another  radio interview she's independent and doesn't expect him to take care of her. She also shared that he recently bought her a puppy, which she named Pacer.

The couple recently went on vacation in Puerto Rico before she released her album Rebellious Soul on Aug. 13. The Love & Hip-Hop Atlanta star first revealed they began dating in July on her official Instagram account.
