While the role of Anastasia Steele ultimately went to actress Dakota Johnson in Fifty Shades of Grey, Chloe Bridges of Carrie Diaries was one of the potential suitors who read for the erotic role.

Although Bridges was initially interested in a part, she recently admitted to Cosmopolitan on Sept. 10 that she was caught off guard by the raunchy nature of the dialogue she read.

"If you read these three pages of asides, you die. I still like show them to my friends for fun," she said.

The 21-year-old TV standout touched on the sexually explicit details on the words, which made her feel uncomfortable.

"The scene was, like, the girl telling her friends about some sexcapade she had. But it goes into extreme detail and uses the word "sperm" a couple times. I was like, I don't know guys, I have to go home to my grandparent's house in a few months at Christmas, I don't know if I can do this," Bridges added

Fifty Shades screenwriter Kelly Marcel stated that she'd be adhering to the book content of author E.L. James' books with lots of sex and raunchiness.
